Indonesia launches safeguard measures review investigation on imported curtains

On April 28, 2022, the WTO Safeguards Committee released the safeguard notification submitted to it by the Indonesian delegation. On April 25, 2022, at the request of Indonesian domestic manufacturers, the Indonesian Safeguards Committee imposed restrictions on imported curtains (Including Drapes), Interior Blinds, Bed Valances, and Other Furnishing Articles) launches the first sunset review investigation of safeguard measures. The Indonesian tax numbers (2017 version) of the products involved are 6303.12.00, 6303.19.90, 6303.91.00, 6303.92.00, 6303.99.00, 6304.19.90, 6304.91.90, 6304.92.00.

Stakeholders should submit written and electronic application materials for registration of response within 15 days of the announcement. The Indonesian Safeguards Committee plans to register on the afternoon of May 30, 2022 A video hearing will be held from 2 to 4 o’clock, and interested stakeholders should submit case evidence materials before May 23, 2022.
