American buyers come to China to discuss cooperation with Chinese export companies

The reporter learned from the China International E-Commerce Center of the Ministry of Commerce on the 10th that the 2009 Spring Sino-US Enterprise Business Exchange Meeting has recently kicked off. During the meeting, Chinese export companies discussed cooperation matters with American buyers.

According to reports, this business exchange will last until April 19. The conference, which will last for one and a half months, will hold eight face-to-face meetings. The procurement needs of American companies involve food, fabrics, electrical appliances, printing, handicrafts, new energy, injection molding equipment, jewelry, precision instruments, medical equipment and other fields.

The international financial crisis has had a huge impact on the economy, and China’s small and medium-sized export companies have also been deeply affected. In order to help export companies cope with the current adverse situation, Chinese governments at all levels have increased support. The purpose of this business exchange meeting is to create opportunities for the development of export business of Chinese enterprises.

The first negotiation meeting held on the 9th attracted 28 buyers from the Charleston Chamber of Commerce and the South Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce, as well as 28 Chinese export companies to participate in the negotiation. The areas of discussion focus on construction materials, craft gifts, textiles and fabrics, small household appliances, and distribution and trade. According to reports, in addition to purchasing goods, some American buyers will also look for sales agents and investment cooperation opportunities in China.

It is understood that the 2008 Autumn Sino-US Business Exchange Conference held last year was very effective. More than 200 American businessmen attended the conference and reached more than 100 purchase intentions.
