The government of Rajasthan, India prepares special policies for the textile industry
The western Indian state of Rajasthan will expand special policies for the textile industry.
A government meeting chaired by Rajasthan Governor Ashok Gehlot decided to formulate a special policy for the textile industry as textile units migrate from Bhilwara to Gujarat and Maharashtra The policy was introduced in the case of Rashtra.
The new textile policy will be adopted under the “Special Tariff Policy 2013. The policy aims to attract an investment of 100 billion rupees in the next seven years and generate employment opportunities for 50,000 people.
This policy will apply to new textile enterprises as well as existing textile units that are ready to invest in modernization, expansion or diversification.
Policy preferences for the textile industry will include value-added tax refunds, subsidies and interest rate exemptions.
This government meeting also decided to establish a petroleum university as a public-private partnership in order to cultivate more human resources and technical personnel.
