Dalian port down product exports doubled against the trend
This year, Dalian City has increased the inspection, supervision and assistance for exported down clothing, and strives to promote the growth of down product exports. As of the end of May, the batch and value of down products exported from Dalian Port had increased by 118% and 291% respectively year-on-year.
At the beginning of this year, affected by the H7N9 avian influenza, the down industry faced a shortage of raw material supply and rising production costs for exported down jackets. In this regard, Dalian City has gone deep into the production line of enterprises, strengthened supervision of the company’s down feed channels, foreign brand processing authorization letters, and comparison of down content and finished product marks, etc., and strengthened the safety, hygiene and safety of down products. Anti-fraud and other project inspections are carried out to ensure product quality; at the same time, all export down clothing companies in the jurisdiction are required to sign product quality commitment letters and establish quality integrity files. Export down clothing that is found to be unqualified in safety and health projects is not allowed to be exported.
