South Korea’s “Textile Technology Group” company plans to invest US$10,000 in Uzbekistan’s textile sector
South Korea’s “Textile Technology Group” plans to invest US$50 million in 2011-2012 to establish a modern lint processing textile production enterprise in Tashkent Prefecture. By introducing the world’s advanced textile equipment, the company’s annual lint processing capacity will reach 8,000 tons. According to the Korean company’s plan, in the third year after the company is put into operation, the annual output is expected to reach 6,000 tons of cotton yarn, 7.5 million square meters of finished cotton fabrics, and 5 million pieces of sewing products, of which 80% will be exported. The implementation of the project will also create more than 1,000 jobs.
