Aiming at China, EU investigators went to Bangladesh to investigate the counterfeiting of clothing origin
According to the Bangladesh Export Promotion Bureau, the European Union has begun investigating more than 500 consignments of clothing suspected of forging the origin of Bangladesh to Bangladesh. According to EU regulations, clothing exported to the EU originating in Bangladesh can enjoy zero tariff treatment. However, a report submitted by the European Union recently stated that some clothing originating in China passed through forged declaration forms, pretending to be originating in Bangladesh, and exported to the EU market and obtained zero-tariff treatment. Investigators from the EU Anti-Fraud Office have gone to Bangladesh to visit the Bangladesh Export Promotion Agency, the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturing and Export Association, the Bangladesh Textile Mills Association and related factories to investigate and collect evidence.
