Wulong Pingqiao Town: 1.1 million sericulture seedlings help the development of sericulture industry

It is understood that Pingqiao Town made full use of the Shandong Poverty Alleviation Aid Project’s investment of 3.15 million yuan, and the masses raised more than 700,000 yuan themselves, and took the initiative to “marriage” with Hongmeida Co., Ltd. to establish a sericulture industrial park and develop the sericulture industry. The town has prepared various agricultural materials reserves, especially the leading agricultural industry sericulture planting industry. It has prepared 541 tons of fertilizers, 1,100 kilograms of pesticides, 1,135 kilograms of agricultural film, and 1.1 million sericulture seedlings.
Pingqiao Town originally had 7,000 acres of on-site mulberries, including 4,000 acres of fruit-picking mulberries and 3,000 acres of sericulture mulberries. This year, 1,000 acres will be newly developed in Wuyang Village, and infrastructure such as silkworm houses, co-breeding rooms, picking trails, and irrigation pools will be gradually improved. By then, the problem of 110 people working nearby will be solved, and it is expected to increase people’s income by more than 4 million yuan.
