In May 2017, Vietnam exported US$1.928 billion in textiles and clothing, a year-on-year increase of 8.02%, and a month-on-month increase of 2.90%; Vietnam exported 112,500 tons of yarn, a year-on-year increase of 13.55%, and a month-on-month increase of 5.78%. From January to May 2017, Vietnam exported US$9.448 billion in textiles and clothing, a year-on-year increase of 9.53%; exported 514,200 tons of yarn, a year-on-year increase of 17.63%.
In May 2017, Vietnam imported 128,600 tons of cotton, a year-on-year increase of 45.49%, and a month-on-month increase of 14.98%; imported yarns were 81,300 tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.76%, and a month-on-month increase of 17.80%; imported fabrics were US$1.140 billion, a year-on-year increase of 11.21% %, a month-on-month increase of 15.06%. From January to May 2017, Vietnam imported 564,900 tons of cotton, a year-on-year increase of 27.38%; imported 353,200 tons of yarn, a year-on-year increase of 4.88%; imported fabrics were US$4.481 billion, a year-on-year increase of 8.27%.
