When exports drop slightly, the overall trend is still improving
After experiencing five consecutive months of growth in a single month, textile and apparel exports returned to negative growth in August, but the decline was not significant, and the export volume still maintained an expansion trend, achieving month-on-month growth, and the overall export situation remained good. According to data released by the General Administration of Customs, in RMB terms, exports in August were 177.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 4.7%, of which textile exports were 65.52 billion yuan, a decrease of 4.2%, and clothing exports were 112.08 billion yuan, a decrease of 5%. Exports that month increased by 2.1% compared with July. The cumulative exports from January to August were 1.20354 billion yuan, an increase of 5.8%, of which textile exports were 494.7 billion yuan, an increase of 7.1%, and clothing exports were 708.84 billion yuan, an increase of 4.9%.
