Bangladesh ranks first in the world in textile imports
According to the “Financial Express” report on September 9, according to the latest WTO statistics, Bangladesh’s textile imports in 2016 were US$7.15 billion, accounting for 2.4% of the world’s total, ranking sixth in the world, compared with US$10.02 billion in 2015 (ranked 5th in the world) decreased by approximately US$3 billion, mainly due to the decline in demand in the textile industry.
