In August 2017, Vietnam exported US$2.676 billion in textiles and clothing, a year-on-year increase of 8.13%, and a month-on-month increase of 8.58%. It exported 124,200 tons of yarn, a year-on-year increase of 9.35%, and a month-on-month increase of 6.51%. From January to August 2017, Vietnam exported US$16.964 billion in textiles and clothing, a year-on-year increase of 8.34%; exported 868,200 tons of yarn, a year-on-year increase of 14.81%.
In August 2017, Vietnam imported 115,900 tons of cotton, a year-on-year increase of 12.40%, and a month-on-month increase of 20.80%; imported yarns were 78,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.93%, and a month-on-month increase of 15.05%; imported fabrics were US$900 million, a year-on-year increase of 3.46% %, a month-on-month decrease of 8.06%. From January to August 2017, Vietnam imported 890,600 tons of cotton, a year-on-year increase of 25.27%; imported yarn 574,500 tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.46%; imported fabrics of US$7.376 billion, a year-on-year increase of 8.19%.
