Pakistan cotton yarn export prices rise
In the week of November 23-29, both domestic and export prices of Pakistani cotton yarn increased, consistent with the rising trend of cotton prices.
Last week, there was insufficient demand in the yarn market in Faisalbad, Pakistan, and textile companies were only willing to purchase spot goods to meet immediate demand. Blended yarn transactions are active but prices are stable. The price of 1.4D polyester staple fiber remains at 138 rupees/kg, while the price of polyester staple fiber from China fell to US$1.15/kg. Although China’s consumer demand is very weak, Pakistan’s cotton yarn export prices increased by about 1% after continuing to be sluggish.
