India’s textile and garment exports fell .% year-on-year in this fiscal year
According to a report by The Hindu on April 20, India’s textile and garment exports in the 2017/18 fiscal year were US$35 billion, down 0.4% year-on-year. Among them, clothing exports amounted to US$16.7 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 4%. The person in charge of the Cotton Textile Export Promotion Council (CTEPC) said that although the export volume of cotton yarn and fabrics increased by 4% year-on-year, it is still necessary to pay attention to the impact of growing clothing exports from Vietnam and Bangladesh.
