Overview of the Croatian textile industry
According to statistics from the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, the annual output value of the Croatian textile industry is 664 million euros, accounting for approximately 0.6% of the GDP. Export revenue was 51.128 million euros. There are 773 registered companies in this industry, with about 17,000 employees and an average monthly gross income of 614 euros.
The main export products of this industry are: industrial textile materials, outerwear, underwear, socks, dining tables, bed textiles, and special purpose textiles (labor protection and military use). Production bases: Zagreb City, Megymje Province, Varazdin Province, Krapina-Zagolja Province, Osijek-Baranja Province. Main exporting countries: Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Germany, Italy, Slovenia.
