Pakistan has strong demand for polyester yarn and stable cotton yarn prices
In the week of February 17-23, the price of chemical fiber in Pakistan increased, and the price of blended yarn increased accordingly. Driven by rising raw material prices in Asia and expanding demand from downstream processing plants, polyester staple fiber prices in Pakistan have continued to rise recently.
Last week, the price of 1.4D polyester staple fiber in Pakistan increased by 2 rupees to 131 rupees/kg, an increase of 1.55%, an increase of 24% from the same period last year. Although the price of polyester staple fiber has continued to rise recently, the overall price is still lower than that of cotton, so the market demand for polyester staple fiber remains strong.
Last week, the price of blended yarn in Pakistan further increased, while the price of polyester and viscose yarn remained stable. Although the price of pure cotton yarn was stable, international cotton prices have fallen recently, and export prices may fall in the future. Last week, the spot price of Kachira in Pakistan fell by 50 rupees to 6,650 rupees/maud, a decrease of 0.71%. Pakistan has strong demand for polyester yarn and cotton yarn prices are stable
