The United States implements a voluntary recall of Chinese-made children’s pajamas
On November 1, 2017, the U.S. Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) and VIV&LUL, of China jointly announced a voluntary recall of Chinese-made children’s pajamas.
The recalled products are children’s pajamas, available in two sets. The first suit consists of a gray long-sleeved shirt and trousers, made of 93% modal and 7% spandex. There is a pink bow on the collar of the shirt. “HappyDayV&L” is printed in white and pink on the center front of the shirt, and “VIV&LULDL118106” is printed on the sewn label. The second pajama set consists of a yellow, white and blue plaid printed long-sleeved shirt and trousers, made of 100% cotton. There are four buttons down the center of the shirt and “VIV&LULV215770” printed on the sewn label. The sizes of the two pajama sets are 110cm (4-5 years), 120cm (6-7 years), 130cm (8-9 years), 140cm (10-11 years), 150cm (12-13 years) and 160cm (14 -15 years old).
About 950 pieces of the recalled products were sold in the Amazon online store from February 2017 to October 2017. The unit price is about US$11-17. The reason for the recall is that the above-mentioned children’s pajamas do not meet the requirements of the US Federal Regulations on the Flammability Standards for Clothing and Textiles, posing a risk of burns. So far, the company has not received any reports of accidents or injuries.
The U.S. Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) recommends that consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and keep them out of reach of children. Contact VIV&LUL for a full refund. The company will directly contact all consumers who have purchased the product. The United States implements a voluntary recall of Chinese-made children’s pajamas
