In the week of November 9-15, affected by the rebound in cotton prices, cotton yarn prices rose further. In the past four weeks, the price of C20S coarse-count yarn in Pakistan’s Faisalbad yarn market has increased by 52 rupees, an increase of 4.04%.
In the past two days, affected by the news that the Pakistani government is considering whether to relax restrictions on Indian cotton imports, Pakistan’s cotton prices have fallen slightly, with the benchmark price falling to 6,400 rupees per maund.
Last week, due to strong demand from the downstream market, the price of PC yarn in Pakistan increased, and the volume of orders traded at higher prices was high. At the same time, affected by weak demand in China, Pakistan’s cotton yarn export prices remain stable. It is understood that the international market’s expectation for the price of Pakistani cotton yarn is a 3-4% discount based on the current price. However, considering the cost issue, Pakistani cotton yarn is currently basically sold domestically.
Last week, the price of polyester staple fiber in Pakistan increased slightly. Among them, the price of 1.4D polyester staple fiber increased by 2 rupees/kg, and the import price from China increased by 1.17 US dollars/kg.
